A transitional living program is a powerful treatment phase!

Transitional living is the third phase of addiction treatment and can be very beneficial to certain clients!

Transitional housing, also known as transitional treatment living is a great treatment phase for persons completing alcoholism rehab and/or drug rehab but still require additional counseling, structure and drug testing. A person in transitional living treatment will seek and gain employment. Our life skills program will help them prepare for the interview process and will monitor and ensure employment progress.

He or sure will return to Dr. Willa's House each day and sleep at Dr. Willa's House. In other words, their home is Dr. Willa's Transitional Housing and when not at work, he or she will participate in individual and group counseling activities at Dr. Willa's House. Transitional living treatment is also a great solution for persons that have done alcoholism rehab and drug rehab many times before but continue to relapse.

The transitional phase is less expensive than alcohol rehab and drug rehab. It cannot replace substance abuse rehab. In short, this alcoholism and drug addiction treatment phase is only an option for people that have completed drug abuse or alcohol rehab and for those that have done addiction treatment alcohol rehabilitation or drug rehabilitation numerous times before.

Our transitional living treatment program can help your loved one learn how to do life again!

The transitional living phase will focus on our proprietary 5 Rings of Sobriety Success program with continued support in the following areas...

One-on-one counseling - Many alcoholics and drug addicts have lost their self-confidence and have extensive guilt and shame. Transitional living clients will continue to receive one-on-one counseling regarding addiction, emotions and behavior. If needed and if the family is agreeable, family sessions can be included as well.

A-Z life skills training and problem solving
- The great advantage of transitional living is that the client can share any obstacles and negatives he or she has encountered in the real world that normally might trigger them to relapse. Being able to return to a safe transitional housing environment where they know they can get love and support can greatly aid them in how to navigate through life without substance abuse.

Comprehensive situational skill set training
- Learning how to respond to the many possible relapse scenarios is a unqie training program that we have not seen offered in other addiction treatment programs! It is basically a process of visualizing in graphic detail any and all scenarios whereby the client has relapsed before. Within Dr. Willa's transitional living program, clients will continue to learn how to alter the old behavior and thoughts to avoid relapse.

Personal development
- Becoming healthier via: Self, Relationships, Lifestyle and Community! These four areas that represent life are what we call the four arches of life. Alcoholics and drug addicts even in sobriety, still have substance abuse behaviors that need refining. Dr. Willa's transitional living program teach's clients how to be a better person in all four arches of life which is forward movement in experiencing a much happier life!

Having fun without alcoholism and drug abuse
- Setting healthy boundaries and finding peace and confidence within self is critical within the transitional living process! Sobriety is a life long management process and that is the truth. Unfortunately, many clients leave addiction treatment facilities thinking they are cured and that they can return to life as if they were never an alcoholic or drug addict. This is a sad reality that almost always leads to relapse. Accepting the truth and helping clients find passion and purpose is imperative to self-worth and happiness. When we increase the happiness factor we decrease the probability of relapse, depression and other dual diagnosis disorders!
